Pastels on the Plaza is a wonderful art show which benefits Northcoast Children's Services.
Local businesses purchase "squares" and the proceeds go to help NCCS.
The event is located on the sidewalks of the Arcata Plaza. The Plaza is popular spot on Arcata which, in addition to being a central place for locals to gather, also hosts the Saturday morning Farmers Market.
Artists create beautiful works of art on the sidewalks with pastels.
Visitors can appreciate this beauty anywhere from days to weeks to come (depending on when the fall rain arrives).
